The life of a congregation is never static. As the pages of its history are turned, new chapters emerge, revealing God’s ongoing work among his people.
As of June 1st, a new chapter entitled THE VACANCY MONTHS began for the members of Haney Church. Following Rev. Paddy’s retirement, the Presbytery of Westminster appointed an Interim Moderator to ensure that pastoral needs are met durng the vacancy and to guide the process of finding a new minister.
Our Interim Moderator during the vacancy is the Rev. Rebecca Simpson. Rebecca is an ordained minister in the PCC and currently serves as the Director of Presbyterian Formation at Vancouver School of Theology and as the new part-time Assistant Dean of St. Andrews’s Hall.
The life, work and ministry of our congregation will carry on during this period. We will face challenges. New responsibilities may have to be shouldered by different people, But God will continue to lead us. Through the months of this chapter may he find us faithful — faithful in our …
