Our retreats are very different in style and purpose, but they all provide generous opportunities to be in God’s presence in the company of others. These are joyful times through which we are physically and spiritually refreshed.

.Contemplative Retreat

“Times come when we yearn for more of God than our schedules will allow. We are tired, we are crushed, we are crowded by friends and acquaintances, commitments and obligations. The life of grace is abounding, but we are too busy for it! Even good obligations begin to hem us in.” (Wilderness Time, Emilie Griffin)

In past years we have made space in our calendars to go away for a weekend of prayer and contemplation. We’ve usually had several Bible Studies through the course of the weekend. But we also allowed ample time for silence, for long walks, for reading, for conversations – all those things through which God the Spirit feeds our souls.

 Church Family Retreat

Each spring we go away together as a church family. Time away together is a valuable part of our spiritual growth. It is wonderful to take a break from our busy lives and enjoy God’s creation, God’s Word and God’s people together. All of us, no matter our age, benefit from being with other believers and from building lasting friendships with each other. What to expect? Time for study, fun, worship and lots of free time to enjoy the beach and the woods at Camp Douglas on the Sunshine Coast.
