We have now travelled beyond Palm Sunday and we continue on a path through Holy Week. All during Lent we have been moving hesitantly toward this time when we will come face to face with the One who willingly gave up his life for us. Jesus the Christ, the sacrificed Lamb of God, was brutally crucified in our place. He saved us! What can we possibly say to him when we finally reach the foot of his cross? What words can adequately express our gratitude?
I don’t believe Jesus will be looking for words. Rather, I imagine he will be looking for a response … one that puts our thankfulness into action. What form will ours take?
You’re invited to continue on this Journey of Transformation as we gather each day this week for services of contemplation on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, a commemoration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday morning’s stations of the cross and then Easter Sunday’s glorious celebration. You’ll find all the details [here].
