Sunday, August 1
Pray for company shareholders, that they might realize that all profit comes at a cost.
Monday, August 2
Pray for the staff and volunteers who work at Winnipeg Inner City Missions, as they work to provide light and hope to vulnerable people.
Tuesday, August 3
Bless the members of the Newfoundland Presbyterial as they prepare for their annual meetings next month in St. John's. May they feel God’s presence as they focus on the decisions to be made.
Wednesday, August 4
Pray for Canadian Forces families who will move this summer, that their spouses may find meaningful work and their children find friends.
Thursday, August 5
Pray for people who face transitions in their living conditions, and for those who are moving to nursing homes after a lifetime of independence.
Friday, August 6
Give thanks for the work of Project Ploughshares, a Christian voice for peace and for the abolition of nuclear weapons.
Saturday, August 7
Pray for congregational leaders as they prepare fall programs for their churches.
Sunday, August 8
Give thanks for the love, patience and generosity of those who volunteer to be foster parents.
Monday, August 9
Pray for differently-abled people in Malawi who find physical, emotional and vocational support and training at the Tidzalerana club. The club is supported by Presbyterian World Service & Development and provides a welcoming community, nutritious food, mobility assistance and skills training to those in need.
Tuesday, August 10
Pray for the doctors and nurses who look after men and women who are incarcerated.
Wednesday, August 11
Thank God for the miracle of plants that grow fruits and vegetables for us to eat.
Thursday, August 12
Pray for The Rev. Arlene Onuoha and her children as they continue to adjust to life back in Canada after her ministry with The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.
Friday, August 13
Pray for those involved in campus ministry as they gear up for a new fall school season.
Saturday, August 14
Pray for the congregation of Strang Presbyterian Church in Dixonville, Alberta, in their search for a new minister.
Sunday, August 15
Pray for people in Malawi who are in danger of falling ill with malaria, and for Presbyterian World Service & Development as it supports Ekwendeni Hospital’s malaria prevention programs and proves mosquito nets, saving lives and building healthier communities.
Monday, August 16
Pray for the Portuguese-Speaking congregation in Toronto, Ontario, and for their minister, Lincoln Resende, as they continue their caring ministry.
Tuesday, August 17
Pray for those caught in the daily rat race, that they may find a balance between work, play and family.
Wednesday, August 18
Pray for the people of the Ukraine, that they may learn about improved farming methods and become more self-sufficient with the support they receive from Presbyterian World Service & Development programs.
Thursday, August 19
Pray for all members of the Women's Missionary Society and Atlantic Mission Society, and for the groups that are seeking new leadership.
Friday, August 20
Pray for Jack Jamieson, who serves as the convener of the Ministry Committee of the Presbytery of Temiskaming.
Saturday, August 21
Pray for the children of Guatemala who receive an education at Francisco Coll School. Presbyterian World Service & Development supports the school to provide quality teaching, after-school tutoring, nutritious meals and scholarships to secondary school for some of the poorest children in Guatemala City.
Sunday, August 22
Pray for The Rev. Dr. Herb Gale, Moderator of the 136th General Assembly and Ken Kim, Director of PWS&D as prepare to travel to Central America to visit mission partners.

Pray for those known to you who are going through difficult times.
Tuesday, August 24
May the fruit of our lives be as bountiful as the fields of magnificent harvest.
Wednesday, August 25
Pray for Phillip Kay as he travels to Malawi as a short-term volunteer with the Blantyre Synod Health and Development Commission.
Thursday, August 26
Pray for those who have made a serious mistake and are living with the consequences. May they be granted peace, forgiveness and self awareness.
Friday, August 27
Pray for The Rev. Dr. David Kettle as he prepares to retire as Chaplain General this month.
Saturday, August 28
Pray for Ann and The Rev. Jim Young, who are changing young lives in Grenada through the introduction of a Computer-Assisted Literacy Solution program and its pilot project at Belair Government Primary School.
Sunday, August 29
Pray for children and young people who are preparing to return to school in September. May the year ahead be exciting and challenging for them as they continue their studies.
Monday, August 30
Pray for the candidates for ministry and for the guidance counsellors who will spend time engaged in dialogue about calling and discernment during the Guidance Conference at Crieff Hills, Ontario.
Tuesday, August 31
Pray for strength, patience and a sense of humour for nurses and caregivers who look after difficult or demanding patients.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
Give thanks for the Vacation Bible School team from Westwood Presbyterian Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba who shared the Good News of Jesus to children and teens in the Presbyteries of Winnipeg and Brandon this past summer.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
Pray for congregations that are undergoing changes in their ministry.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3
Pray for the participants of the Spiritual Practices workshops in the Presbyteries of Brandon and Winnipeg as they share what they have learned with their congregations. Give thanks for their workshop leaders, The Rev. Peter Bush and The Rev. Glenn Ball.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
Pray for people who have received an upsetting medical diagnosis. May they be granted hope, courage and the knowledge of God’s love.
